B37-04 for DDname SMPSNAP while receiving PTFs with CA MSM

Issue/Introduction

Using CA Mainframe Software Manager (MSM) to receive on maintenance for a newly installed product.

Getting B37 abends on temporary datasets during the receive.  Where can I change the size of this allocation?

Component : Chorus Software Manager

Cause

Insufficient space of chosen device used for allocation

Resolution

Change where CA MSM attempts to allocate these temporary files.

Go into the Settings tab and look under both System Settings and User Settings for Software Installation. You will see a section for "MVS Program Executor - Output".

Here you can specify a prefix and whether to use SMS or specifically select a volser & unit.  This is what controls the datasets related to the error encountered.

Changing User Settings is only applicable to you whereas System Settings is for all users.
