Issue/Introduction

Currently the CICS regions have with attachsec = LOCAL on CICS Connection defitions(RDO) and ACF2 MRO records with TRANSMIT=NO,RECEIVE=NO LINKSEC=NO.

We are looking for help in coming up with an implementation plan.

We would like to Change attachsec=Identify and TRANSMIT=YES,RECEIVE=YES LINKSEC=YES.

We have 8 Lpars the sysplex and they communicate with each other via MRO LU connections.

Should we change ACF MRO first then Attachsec?

attachsec first then ACF MRO record?

both of them at same time?

Resolution

MRO RECEIVE=NO blocks the inheritance even if ATTACHSEC=IDENTIFY. Changing one sysplex at a time will not affect the others until the current LPAR has MRO RECEIVE=NO.
