Device discovers as pingable but can snmpwalk device from poller

Issue/Introduction

Trying to discover some new devices and the devices keep coming up pingable in PM. We have validate community string and reachability to both devices from the poller. SNMPWALK is successful for both devices but dcdebug shows that during discovery there is a timeout. I've upped the discovery profile timeouts to 30 seconds and 5 retries for this specific discovery profile and same result.

Cause

It's due to our requests sending errorIndex=50 and the device is rejecting those requests, since it's not 0.

 

Resolution

This was fixed in 20.2.8:

Symptom: DX NetOps Performance Management sends SNMP requests with an error-index of 50.

Resolution: With this fix, DX NetOps Performance Management does not set max-repetitions when it sends SNMP requests.
