In general, database procedures are not eligible to run on a zIIP processor, because they are not written by IDMS development.
Those written by the IDMS development team, however, are allowed to run on a zIIP processor.
What are these database procedures ?
Release: All supported releases.
The database procedures IDMSCOMP and IDMSDCOM as delivered during the installation process are eligible to run on a zIIP processor. These database procedures are also delivered in source format, which means they can be re-assembled and re-linked at the client site. If this is done, then the resulting load modules are NO LONGER zIIP eligible. The IDMS PRESSPACK routines (which use DCTs (Data Compression Tables) defined as Database Procedures) are also eligible to run on a zIIP processor.
