Agent Copy-Paste problems on DLP Endpoint Prevent

Issue/Introduction

With DLP 15.8 whenever copy/paste is used, we lose all formatting. This is only for the Windows agent. 
It doesn’t matter if copied from Chrome into Word or Word into Word, all formatting is turned back to default when pasted.
If the new agent is disabled, the formatting works fine.

In rare cases when a large volume of data is copied it has been observed that Office programs have crashed.

Cause

This is a known issue for the DLP 15.8 Agent

Resolution

Upgrade the DLP Endpoint Agent to the latest 15.8 MP1 hotfix agent found on the support portal (At least hotfix version 15.8.0112), following the Readme text file included in the zip file.

 

 

 

Additional Information

The office crash issues were resolved with 15.8.00111.1001, and the vast majority of copy-paste related have been resolved. However, it has been observed that some third-party applications are still being affected.

Note that DLP agent hotfixes are cumulative. All previous fixes are rolled up in to the latest hotfix.
