Issue/Introduction

The following message is displayed in the OneClick Administration --> Landscapes

SPC-OCA-10364: No permission. Ensure the server's .hostrc file permits the web server host to connect.

Environment

Release : ANY

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER or OneClick

Cause

Possible one of the following:

The SpectroSERVER does not permit the OneClick to access it.

The OneClick cache is corrupt.

Resolution

On the SpectroSERVER system, edit the $SPECROOT/.hostrc file and included the OneClick web server hostname or ip address.

Restart tomcat on the OneClick system to clear the cache.

Additional Information

Make sure the etc/hosts file is populated with all servers in the environment to avoid issues with DNS not responding or is slow to respond.

If etc/hosts file is not populated, then make sure that the nslookup <hostname> matches the exact name that is in the .hostrc file (case sensitive as hostname or with / without FQDN).
