Issue/Introduction

How do I enable tracing for the dSeries Desktop Client application?

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION DE (DSERIES) DESKTOP CLIENT

Resolution

  • Launch the ESP dSeries Desktop Client from your workstation.
  • Click the "Work offline" button.
  • Click on the Trace menu item.
  • Select the Set Trace File option.
  • Enter your Broadcom Support case number in the "File name" field to save the trace data and then click the OK button.
  • A pop-up will display asking if you want to start the trace now. Click Yes.
  • Log in to the Desktop Client and attempt to reproduce the issue that is begin reviewed at that time.
