Issue/Introduction

Unable to Discover devices in Spectrum:    Model Class = Unknown and Name field is empty

Environment

Release : 10.4.x

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

• Possible SSDB Corruption
• Enable Debug AutoDiscovery from the Landscape VNM Model:

• Check the ADiscDebug_*.log located under SPECROOT/SS Folder:

Apr 26 07:34:21   Device Null Name/0x460795 (null mtype/0x0) has full IP match with 172.x.x.x
Apr 26 07:34:21   The IP sets are identical.

The highlighted entries indicate SSDB Corruption.

 

Resolution

• Restore SSDB from a previous backup.
