Issue/Introduction

On Ice jobs are removed from jobstream due to no run frequency in AutoSys V1 which results in jobs showing as NPTF in monitoring tab.

Environment

Release : 6.2-0-2

Component : AUTOMIC AUTOMATION INTELLIGENCE ENGINE

Cause

Defect DE492122

Resolution

This is addressed in AAI version 6.2.0-2 as part of the resolution to defect DE492122 - On Ice jobs are removed from jobstream due to no run frequency in AutoSys V1.

After upgrading it will require you to disable Auto Trimming on the affected Jobstreams then reapply auto trimming so the changes take effect.

This will prevent the "On Ice" jobs from being trimmed out when selecting to trim no run frequency jobs.

The 6.2.0-2 Release notes cover this as well in more detail:

Excluded On Ice jobs from the No Run Frequency trimming options. This functionality is controlled via the jobstream.excludeOnIceJobsFromNoRunFrequency parameter (default = true), and can be modified in the Parameters tab of the Configuration tool.

This change should prevent On Ice jobs from being marked in NPTF root causes as jobs trimmed from the jobstream run.
