CA Performance Management - Usage and Administration

Issue/Introduction

What files do we need to explicitly exclude from PUPPET in a CAPM installation.

This list should include all directories as well as CAPC files that are outside of the install path.

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT INSTALLATIONS/UPGRADES

Cause

PUPPET can add entries to files or restrict access to files that may be needed for CAPC to run.

Resolution

This list assumes that you use the default install path for each system

  1. CAPC Console host

/opt/CA

/var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

/etc/my.cnf

/etc/profile

/etc/zprofile

/etc/systemd/system/caperfcenter_console.service

/etc/systemd/system/caperfcenter_devicemanager.service

/etc/systemd/system/caperfcenter_eventmanager.service

/etc/systemd/system/caperfcenter_sso.service

/etc/systemd/system/mysql.service

/etc/systemd/system/capc-consul.service

/etc/systemd/system/consul.service

Below are links to above, created when service added to target runlevel:

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/caperfcenter_console.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/caperfcenter_devicemanager.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/caperfcenter_eventmanager.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/caperfcenter_sso.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/mysql.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/capc-consul.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/consul.service

  1. DA host

/opt/IMDataAggregator

/var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

/etc/DA.cfg

/etc/systemd/system/activemq.service

/etc/systemd/system/dadaemon.service

Below are links to above, created when service added to target runlevel:

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/activemq.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/dadaemon.service

On fault tolerant DA's only:

Whatever directory is chosen for the shared repository, this is user chosen.

  1. DC host

/opt/IMDataCollector

/var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

/opt/DCM.cfg

/etc/systemd/system/activemq.service

/etc/systemd/system/dcmd.service

Below are links to above, created when service added to target runlevel:

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/activemq.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/dcmd.service

  1. DR vertica hosts

/opt/CA

/opt/vertica

/var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

/usr/share/man/man1/admintools.1

/usr/share/man/man1/vsql.1

/etc/systemd/system/vertica_agent.service

/etc/systemd/system/verticad.service

Below are links to above, created when service added to target runlevel:

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/vertica_agent.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/verticad.service

Whatever directories are chosen for data and catalog, this is user chosen.

  1. Proxy host

There will only be a proxy host if you are using fault tolerant DA's

/opt/CA

/var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

/etc/systemd/system/consul.service

/etc/systemd/system/daproxy.service

Below are links to above, created when service added to target runlevel:

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/consul.service

/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/daproxy.service
