Issue/Introduction

When a new user is created in CA Identity Manager (Symantec IGA), the user needs to change the password at the first login.  Where is this configured?

Environment

Release : 14.3 CP2

Component : CA Identity Manager, CA Identity Suite

Resolution


The "password must change" action is set in the create user task.

 

The default setting for the "password must change" action is defined in the "Create User" Task.  Navigate to 

Tasks -> Roles and Tasks -> Admin Tasks -> 
Modify Admin Task -> 

Search for and select "Create User"

Click on the "Tabs" Tab
Click the pencil icon next to Profile

Adjacent to screen "Create User Profile" select Browse

The "Create User Profile" is selected to click on "Edit".

You will now see the screen layout (see below) and the option to specify the default option (true or false).
