Possible non-defect reasons of CA WA ESP Workstation Server abend 878

Issue/Introduction

Why the CA WA ESP Workstation Server abended with 878? We are current on maintenance and don't find any known problem.

Environment

Release : 11.4 & 12.0

Component : CA ESP WORKLOAD AUTOMATION

Resolution

Here are the possible non-defect reasons:
- The REGION memory is not large enough;
- There are too many workstation users, may consider to split the users between multiple WSS instances;
- There are too many active applications and JOBs, and users use subscribe with no filter: Let the users subscribe with properly chosen filters, to minimize the amount of job information retrieved (and processed by the WSS)
