"IF: Error moving files: Model write aborted" in CA Gen Toolset Save Model

Issue/Introduction

The user opens up a model in CA Gen Toolset and modifies a line in it . While saving the model the below error occurs

IF: Error moving files: Model write aborted

The user is trying to save the model to a network drive.

Environment

 Release: 8.6

Component: CA Gen Workstation Toolset

 

 

Resolution

Model gets corrupted only when model is opened and attempts to save in network drive.

Broadcom's recommendation is to copy the model to local C drive , then open the model and save it.

Use local folder on local hard drive for saving the model instead of network drive.

Also make sure  to prepare the model or subset ( by creating different folder for new model in local drive ) .
