Can ENF CICSREL Parameter Be Updated Without An IPL?

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading CICS, the region fails at startup with:

It was discovered that the ENF parameter CICSREL was not properly set for the new CICS release. After updating the CICSREL parameter, does this take an IPL to correct or is there a way to dynamically change CICSREL in ENF?

Resolution

An IPL is not needed to change the CICSREL parameter in ENF. You can recycle ENF to pick up the new CICSREL, then recycle the CICS region.
