Issue/Introduction

I currently use OPSREPLY to issue "/SIGN ON userid password" command to IMS WTOR. Customer is planning to implement mixed case passwords so better password security is available. R13.5 manual indicates TEXT() value in OPSREPLY is forced to upper case. I have attempted similar "/DISPLAY Active Region." with Address OPER with IMSID() and IMSREPLY but still getting upper case command string in SYSLOG.

Environment

Release : 13.5

Component : OPS/MVS

Resolution

The availability to use mixed case passwords has been in CA OPS/MVS for several releases, and can be verified in the OPS1181 messages.   It was later determined, in the case spawning this information, that IMS had exerted influence over the case of the passwords.
