Issue/Introduction

Learn how to reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for access to the Broadcom Support Portal.

Use this method if you need to reset MFA due to the following:

  • Not receiving the MFA code through email, SMS, VIP, OKTA Verify.
  • Lost access to your mobile device
  • Changed your mobile device
  • Change your phone number

Resolution

  1. Go to the Broadcom Support Portal
  2. In the lower-right corner, click the chatbot icon to initiate a chat.



  3. Click on New Conversation 




  4. Select Account Help 



  5. Click on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Reset.



  6. Enter the account email ID for verification.



  7. Check your email for the verification code.



  8. From the Category drop-down, select the Okta Verify Push category, and then click the red submit button.



  9. The response "MFA Reset Successful" indicates that the reset was successful.



  10. On your next login, the system will give an option to set the MFA again.
