Issue/Introduction

Our PAM Appliance is using session recording to remote NFS server  but periodically the get the error message:  "PAM-CM-0473: Mounted directory not writable"

We have configured the same mount point for both the Primary and Secondary mounts and it does state it it mounted and accessible when we refresh the screen.

Environment

Release : 3.4.x

Component : CA LDAP Server

Cause

Our failover mount point requires at the very least to access a secondary mount directory but should also use a second mount server as well. This failover mechanism is designed to reroute the session recordings to the alternate mount only after a write error occurs on the primary and will then copy all recording it performed back to the primary mount after service is restored to the primary. Miscellaneous errors can be recorded if the mount points are identical based on the way we track the availability of the mount locations.

Resolution

The root cause of the problem is that for both the "Primary Mount Settings" and the "Failover Mount Settings"  so the resolution is to provide an alternate location (at least an alternate directory) for the failover to point to.
