z15- DNS Name or IP Address coded in Sysview?

Issue/Introduction

We're migrating to the new z15 IBM CPU soon, and plan to change our IP addresses.

I'm new to Sysview, but have looked around, and am trying to confirm that Sysview does not have DNS names or IP addresses coded in it, that would have to be changed.

Release : 15.0

Component : SYSVIEW

Resolution

There are no changes required for SYSVIEW, unless your tcpip.data dataset names are being changed during the move.

If the dataset is being renamed, then update the GSVXGSVB member of the **.CNM4SCFG dataset and change the following lines to the appropriate values:

TCP-SYSTCPD-Dsn                  VTAM.TCPIP.TCPIP.DATA
TCP-SYSTCPD-Member               ''
