Policy Manager and Gateway CR version ?

Issue/Introduction

Can the Policy Manager from base 10.0 be used with Gateway CR1, CR2 and CR3 or does it have to match the CR level?

if it doesn't match the CR level is the user presented with any type of message when Policy Manager is launched?

Environment

Release : 10.0

Component : APIGTW  

Resolution

yes, it will not show message regarding version compatibility when connecting  from Policy Manager 10 CR1 to Gateway 10  CR3 as example. 

However, the Advise is to use the Same Policy Manager CR version when connecting to Gateway CR version.

the above only also applies on 10x version, if you try to connect from Policy Manager v10 to gateway lower version it will show an alert about compatibility.
