Issue/Introduction

When trying to import OVA for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) into VMware 6.7, VMWare displays the following error.

 

The checksum(s) from the provided manifest file do not match the content of file(s): Symantec_Endpoint_Detection_and_Response_4.6.0.ovf

BROADCOM is investigating at this time.

  1. Check the hash of the OVA in the download location to make sure that the hash of the downloaded file matches the OVA file we published.
  2. If the hash doesn't match, then download the file again from our download site, and go to step 1.
  3. Delete the existing file from the local file repository of the VMWare server, then upload to the VMWare server again, being sure not to use Internet Explorer for the upload.
