Issue/Introduction

Intending to apply IBM PTF UJ90004 and there is HOLD action that states the following:

 "Do not define the SAF FACILITY class resource                       
 STGADMIN.SMS.ALLOW.DATASET.SEQ.ENCRYPT until all systems in your  installation have installed the PTFs for OA56622, the PTFs for      
 all other required APARs, and the minimum hardware. "              

 

Does the absence of a distinct profile in TSS for STGADMIN.SMS.ALLOW.DATASET.SEQ.ENCRYPT

mean it is OK to install PTF UJ90004? 

Note there is a profile STGADMIN.SMS.ALLOW.DATASET.ENCRYPT but not STGADMIN.SMS.ALLOW.DATASET.SEQ.ENCRYPT

Resolution

Before applying the IBM Ptf  ensure  TSS Ptf SO15753 is applied. 

That should ensure you have no issues when applying the IBM Ptf.
