Issue/Introduction

How to perform cold start on WA Agent

Environment

Release : 11.3.6 SP x , 11.4 , 11.5 ,12.0, 12.1

Component : SYSTEM AGENT

Resolution

Below process is referred as performing cold start on Agent.

1. Login to the server which the agent is located

2. Go to system Agent folder. (eg: /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/SystemAgent/WA_Agent)

3. Stop the Agent service

4. Rename the Database folder name under the system Agent directory. (eg: /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/SystemAgent/WA_Agent/Database)

5. Start the Agent.

 

Additional Information

You can also set following parameter "persistence.coldstart=true" in agentparm.txt
