Issue/Introduction

On the environment, multicast is not working, unable to see the servers in the CSA, also notice process delays. 

The problem is with the multicast communication and the IT team has been unable to solve it. 

Environment

Release : Any supported

Resolution

  • Please use JDBC Ping as alternative to Multicast.
  • This will work for AWS, DMZ, Azure, different subnets and other environments that do not allow multicast

Also ensure all ephemeral ports are open on all servers as per the documentation:  JDBC Ping/Multicast port used for beacon is randomly selected
