Issue/Introduction

Two boxes started without dependencies being met causing multiple jobs to trigger before the intended time.

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

The client thought putting a box on_hold would change the status of the jobs within.

It does not. 

They remain in their prior status.

That was unexpected by the client and as a result down stream jobs ran as the jobs within the box were in a state of success from a prior run.  They thought the on_hold to the parent would have trickled down to the inner jobs.  

The product is working as designed.

Recommendation review the job dependencies to ensure they are set as needed.
