Issue/Introduction

When we try to use Microsoft EDGE to access SOI, we receive a "Login cancelled" message, we do not receive the prompt to introduce the credentials.

Other browsers work fine.

The problem started after our company upgraded to EDGE "Version 89.0.774.54 (Official build) (64-bit)"

..

Cause

This issue is related to the MS EDGE upgrade.

The issue is : latest version of Edge no longer shows basic authentication login dialog. Some information is available on the following Microsoft community link where people faced the same issue :

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/msedge_issue-msedge_win10/latest-version-of-edge-no-longer-shows-basic/3601252b-e56b-46c0-a088-0f6084eabe47

NOTE :: Search for text "AuthSchemes policy" on the above webpage.

Some one said "There is an AuthSchemes policy set to ntlm, negotiate. I did a quick check by adding basic to the key. Basic authentication then works as expected."

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : SOI ONE CLICK UI

Resolution

Please verify the policy setting for Microsoft Edge as follows:

1) Open Microsoft EDGE and open "edge://policy" in browser

2) Search for "AuthSchemes"

3) You can also try by clicking on the checkbox "Show policies with no value" if "AuthSchemes" is not available in #2 point above
