Issue/Introduction

The SynchronizeUserProvisioningRolesAddAccountsEvent triggers only when synchronizing a user with identity policies. This event does not occur during PX policy synchronization involving a user with a provisioning role.

Symptoms

• SynchronizeUserProvisioningRolesAddAccountsEvent does not execute during provisioning role synchronization.

 

Environment

• Identity Manager 14.3
• Identity Manager 15.x

Cause

This is expected product behavior. The event is specific to identity policy synchronization, not provisioning role synchronization.

Resolution

To trigger the SynchronizeUserProvisioningRolesAddAccountsEvent, perform the following steps:

1. Add an Identity Policy Set containing a policy with the action "Make member of provisioning role."
2. Add a Policy Xpress event of the appropriate type, triggered by SynchronizeUserProvisioningRolesAddAccountsEvent.
3. Synchronize the user with the Identity Policy.
