Issue/Introduction

Where can I set the maximum number of concurrent Sessions or users in the WebApp?

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Spectrum releases

Resolution

Access the Webswing admin console as follows:

  • Sample URL: https://<OneClickServerName>:9443/spectrum/
  • Where:
    • <OneClickServerName> is the name of the OC host.
    • <Port> is the oneClick webswing port, normally 9443

In the OneClick WebApp area, in the "Application - Session" options find the "Max. Connections" config.

This is the maximum number of concurrent sessions allowed. The default is set to 50.

It can be changed based on your needs and server resources. The Max Connections is a static default value.

Considerations

  • Each Webapp client requires 1024MB memory (default setting)
  • Higher client counts may require additional vCPUs
  • Higher client counts may require the Webtomcat memory to be increased

Additional Information

In larger environments with more alarms, the client memory allocation will need to be altered and can be altered up to a max of 4 GB.
