How to watch out for hung thread, using APM?

Issue/Introduction

For the WebSphere APM agent, is it possible to watch out for specific text in the application log like "hung thread"?

This is something we're doing in Adobe analytics, which can generate stats from a specified text search in the log.

Cause

Unfortunately monitoring a hung thread is not available out of the box.
