Issue/Introduction

Does CA Top Secret require to create a GROUP to convert following RACF definition ?

ADDGROUP (group) OWNER(HLQ) SUPGROUP(HLQ)

Resolution

GROUP in RACF has the abilities of a GROUP and PROFILE in Top Secret.

Under RACF, you can put a GID on a GROUP and also PERMIT it resources like a PROFILE.

Under TSS,  you cant add a GID to a PROFILE, so you have to also to create a TSS GROUP acid.

If the RACF member, is not assigning a GID, then a TSS GROUP acid doesnt need to be created. 

A PROFILE will need to be created and permitted the datasets it needs per RACF commands.
