What is needed to activate the DB2 option under Easytrieve Report Generator, release 11.6?

 

 

Environment

Easytrieve Report Generator release 11.6
Pan/SQL release 2.4C

Resolution

Three things are needed:

1. The Easytrieve release 11.6 installed
2. The TZ LMP key for the DB2 option
3. The Pan/SQL product installed. 

The following are the FMIDs for release 11.6 which include the DB2 option:

CBAAB60 /* CA Easytrieve Runtime */ 
CA03B60 /* CA Easytrieve Compiler */ 
CCL2B60 /* CA Easytrieve/Plus Compatibility Library */ (if running in Compatibility Mode)

The DB2 option is a cost option and also requires the LMP key TZ in order to be licensed.

The Pan/SQL product (separate product, separate installation, no LMP key needed) also needs to be installed.

If Pan/SQL was previously installed for a prior release of Easytrieve, no reinstallation or changes are necessary.
