Issue/Introduction

Question: 

What is needed to activate the DB2 option under CA Easytrieve release 11.6?

Environment:  

CA Easytrieve Report Generator and CA Pan/SQL 2.4C

Answer: 

Three things are needed:

1. The FMIDs for CA Easytrieve release 11.6

2. The TZ LMP key for the DB2 option

3. The CA Pan/SQL product. 

The following are the FMIDs for release 11.6 which include the DB2 option:

CBAAB60 /* CA Easytrieve Runtime */ 
CA03B60 /* CA Easytrieve Compiler */ 
CCL2B60 /* CA Easytrieve/Plus Compatibility Library */ (if running in Compatibility Mode)

The DB2 option is a cost option and also requires the LMP key TZ in order to be licensed.

The CA Pan/SQL product (separate product, separate installation, no LMP key needed) also needs to be installed.

If CA Pan/SQL was previously installed for a prior release of CA Easytrieve, no reinstallation or changes are necessary.
