Connection Error timeout after selecting RA FTP Host A or Host B value

Issue/Introduction

During the creating or editing of an RA FTP Job, selecting the Host A or Host B field and then choosing a Login object can result in a "Connection Error" message with an "Agent error timeout" message.

Below is an example error:

Connection Error:

Agent Error: timeout SeqNo 1379226 Agent RAFTP_HOST1 Master <mastername> service RAFTP_Host1 Method ftpPwd [{<hostname>sftpKeyAuthentication=false,passPhraseE_n_c_r_]:null

Cause

This is an issue between the RA FTP OS user and a connection issue between the RA FTP host server and remote server (ie firewall)

Resolution

From the server where RA FTP is installed, log into the server using the RA FTP OS user and confirm if you can manually ftp or sftp to the remote host using the same login information as the login object that resulted in the timeout error.

Doing so should result in a similar error which may point to a permission issue or firewall issue. Once this is resolved, should resolve the timeout issue in RA FTP.
