Error - read only in Identity Manager but not in Identity Portal

Issue/Introduction

The CA Identity Manager (IM) Identity Portal (IP) user profile has been configured to include an additional variable "manager employee number".  When the data is submitted it returns an error (screenshot below). %MANAGER EMPLOYEE NUMBER% is read only in Identity Manager but not in Identity Portal

Release : 14.3 CP2

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

The attribute (in this case %MANAGER EMPLOYEE NUMBER%) is defined in the associated Identity Manager tasks profile screen (example below).

If the field is in a "read-only" state in Identity Portal (IP) it must be in a "read-write" state in the IM screen.
