Unable to View audit - internal server error

Issue/Introduction

Cannot view Audit trail for one project, when accessing we get Error 500 Internal server error

In the app-ca.log files it reports:

ERROR 2021-03-08 18:17:16,318 [http-nio-8080-exec-1457] vxml.VXMLService (clarity:user:XXXXXXXXXXXX-D305-4E0F-825E-1202C07BC017:npt.gridFilter) Exception in processing
com.niku.union.web.WebException: com.niku.union.web.WebException: Could not transform view xml into html. 

Environment

Release : 15.8

Component : CA PPM USERS, GROUPS, OBS ADMINISTRATION

Cause

The CMN_AUDITS table contains a special character that cannot be displayed.

Resolution

- Stop the Clarity PPM services

- Back up the CMN_AUDITS table

- Manually amend the problem row to remove the characters causing the issue.

- Restart the Clarity PPM services

- Access the Audit Trail to see if you no longer get the internal server error.
