Issue/Introduction

The VNA API was not working, so I went to cycle the services, but MySQL would not start back. 

ERROR! MySQL is not running, but lock file (/var/lock/subsys/mysql) exists

The /opt/CA/MySql/data/<hostname>.err file shows the following errors

Operating system error number 28. Check that your OS and file system support files of this size. Check also that the disk is not full or a disk quota exceeded.
2021-04-01T14:01:15.739005Z 1 [ERROR] [MY-012640] [InnoDB] InnoDB: Error number 28 means 'No space left on device'
2021-04-01T14:01:15.739022Z 1 [ERROR] [MY-012267] [InnoDB] InnoDB: Could not set the file size of './ibtmp1'. Probably out of disk space

Cause

The partition is out of disk space and therefore MySql cannot start

Resolution

Remove whatever files are available for deletion, such as HPROF files
