Issue/Introduction

The following error messages occur when attempting a transformation:

ESF4113 File     01 - XXXX failed, RC=12
ESF4132 File      1 FILENAME (PRT01/XXXX ) A2PD Transformation failed
ESF4117 Transformer Interface halted

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : CA-LPR

Cause

The userid of the  CA Spool started tasks didn't have the proper permissions to start the Java Transformer started task. 

If you check the JESMSGLG dataset of the CA Spool started task the following messages will be seen:

             INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY
             FROM MVS.START.STC.* (G)
             ACCESS INTENT(UPDATE )  ACCESS ALLOWED(NONE   )

Resolution

The userid of the CA Spool started must be given permission to issue the z/OS start command in the  external security package (TSS, ACF2 or RACF)
