Issue/Introduction

Cannot receive maintenance and cannot accept old maintenance. Trying to accept a PTF and getting the following: 

ACCEPT SELECT(RO94301) CHECK GROUP .  

GIM54701S ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR SMPPTS1 - IKJ56228I DATA SET SUPT.CAVIEW.R14.SMPE.SMPPTS1 NOT IN CATALOG OR CATALOG CANNOT BE ACCESSED. 

GIM20501I    ACCEPT PROCESSING IS COMPLETE. THE HIGHEST RETURN CODE WAS 12.                                               

 IM20502I    SMP/E PROCESSING IS COMPLETE. THE HIGHEST RETURN CODE WAS 12. SMP/E IS AT LEVEL 37.08.

Resolution

It looks like the accept was done with the GROUPEXTEND parameter and was not just a regular accept.

CSM automatically resolves all the HOLDDATA for an accept but not for accept GROUPEXTEND.

The reason of this error getting the unresolved holddata is because 25 PTFs were accepted out of 139 PTF's.

This was preventing CSM from resolving all the HOLDERROR PTF's. Once all 139  applied PTF's were selected it was successful.

Accepting all the applied PTF's at the same time ensures that the fixing PTF's were also included.
