Chinese numbers are not translated and detected by DLP

Issue/Introduction

We want to detect Chinese numbers 一二三四五六七八九 in Simplified and Traditional Chinese language but they do not get detected against policy regex or EDM rules?

We would like to know if DLP makes the translation before performing detection against Arabic or Western iso number formats?

Resolution

DLP does not translate the Chinese numbers to the Arabic or Western iso number format before doing detection.

In order to detect the Chinese numbers you will need to explicitly state these numbers in their exact form in the policy rule or data matching content to be able to detect them.
