Issue/Introduction

Problem:

I am trying to get into DDOL from the CA Ideal main menu and I'm getting 1-DDOL000021C - DDIP - USER NOT AUTHORIZED - SEE SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR. What do I need to do be authorized to get into DDOL?

Environment:

z/OS, z/VSE

Resolution:

The Administrator will need to update your profile in Dictionary with the correct authorization. The Administrator will do the following:

Type DDOL from the CA Ideal Main Menu

Choose OPTION #4 4. AUTHORIZE (SET MODE AUTH)

this will put you in the Authorization Mode Security Check Screen enter password or press enter

Choose Option #1 1. MAINTAIN PERSON

this will put you in the Security Maintenance Screen

You have the option to either enter the user name or PF8 to scroll and look for the user who needs the authority. Once you find the name, you can tab over to the PROFILE column and give the user the appropriate authority such as $DD-ADM or $DD-UPD. Tab to Sec. Admin. Type Y or N if this user is allowed in AUTHORIZATION Mode?

PF9 to apply

You do not need to do anything in CA Ideal. The user will now be able to issue DDOL from within CA Ideal.
