Need to limit a range of ports to choose from when recording from the DevTest Portal

Issue/Introduction

 

Very high level question, we have tested adding the following to our properties files which can limit the ports that show up under “random” when creating a recording. However, the individual users can still manually type in whatever ports they want. Is this the desired result or is there another setting we can leverage that won’t allow anything but 8000-9000 ports? 

local.properties:

lisa.vseasy.http.min.dynamic.port=8000

lisa.vseasy.http.max.dynamic.port=9000

This is for users using the Portal…we have some firewall stuff so we have to limit ranges of ports to be able to use. Everything on workstation should be fine.
