We have a scheduled AutoDiscovery configuration that runs on a daily basis. We noticed some models are not getting created when they should be.
In the History tab, when you click on the Discovery Results tab, you see where it discovered the model and the Model State column shows "Not Modeled" but the Modeling Status tab shows the following:
Starting Modeling Process: Wednesday, March 24, 2021 1:55:15 PM UTC
SPC-OCC-10907: There are no devices to model - stopping modeling
Modeling process failed: Wednesday, March 24, 2021 1:55:15 PM UTC
This occurs IF the device was discovered in a previous execution of the scheduled Discovery Configuration and then the model was deleted.
The scheduled discovery process keeps a history of devices discovered and modeled by this scheduled discovery. If previously discovered, whether the device is currently modeled in the Spectrum database or not, it will not remodel the device.
This only happens IF the "Discover Connections During Scheduled Discovery" check box is NOT checked in the Configuration.
Release : Any
Component : Spectrum Discovery/Modeling
Check the "Discover Connections During Scheduled Discovery" check box for the scheduled discovery configuration.
