Issue/Introduction

Health Report shows Invalid for Oracle 19c optimizer

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Have an Oracle system linked to Clarity
2. Run the healthreport in UI by going to Administration - Health Report
3. Go to Database

Expected Results: To see the Optimizer Features Enable, to be able to select 19.1.0 or equivalent. It should be accepting the default value for the Oracle 19c version

Actual Results: Optimizer Features Enable is setting Invalid for the default value. When DBA is trying to set it to the "Recommended Value = 19.0.0.0" they set an error message: ORA-00096: invalid value 19.0.0.0 for parameter optimizer_features_enable

Cause

This is caused by DE60295

Resolution

• The setting optimizer_features_enable should be set to the default value for the Oracle version. To do this, please delete the value from the init.ora file, and restart the database.
• The health report will still show invalid in 15.9.1, please ignore this for now, it is fixed in 15.9.2 as DE60295
