Resolution

These new messages have been introduced with CA7 PTFs

SO15328 - CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 12.1.01 FOR CA 7

SO15040 - CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 12.1.00 FOR CA 7

In fact , CA7 is one of the MF products that adopted the Continuous Delivery Strategy for maintenance activity and details can be found at the link below:

Continuous Delivery Strategy

section 'Continuous Delivery Strategy'

and 'Mainframe Products Using Continuous Delivery'.

So the above PTFs will introduce a sort of new genlevel of the product that is defined as a 'LEVEL SET' and module CAL2LVLS will store this Level Set value :

- PTF SO15040 adds the new module CAS2LVLS that will starts with LEVEL SET 00 :

'CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 12.1.00 FOR CA 7

- PTF  SO15328 contains all the GA PTFs included in LEVEL SET 01 and will also update module CAL2LVLS to LEVEL SET 01:

'CONTINUOUS DELIVERY LEVEL SET 12.1.01 FOR CA 7'

The new messages will certify that module CAL2LVLS is present in the CA 7 load library with the correct LEVEL SET, according to the maintenance level in place.

Each future GA PTF published for the Continuous Delivery of a new LEVEL SET, will contain a ++HOLD ACTION looking like the following:

                      *********************************
                      * STEPS    TO    PERFORM *
                      *********************************

You should review all Hold data for each PTF included in this
maintenance level as you install this level set into production.
