Endpoint Protection

The Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client reports a problem.

The message states that URL Reputation Protection is disabled.

The URL Reputation Protection feature is disabled at the client, or in the Intrusion Protection policy.

To prevent this message from being reported, you can either enable the feature in the Intrusion Prevention policy, or click the lock next to the checkbox, to prevent users from changing the setting.

  1. In the SEPM console, click on Policies > Intrusion Prevention.
  2. Select the active Intrusion Prevention policy and click Edit policy (or double-click on the policy).
  3. Select Intrusion Prevention.
  4. Check the option for Enable Browser Intrusion Prevention for Windows and click the lock icon so it is closed, as shown in the below screenshot.
