Error: "Failed to execute migration actions" when migrating DLP to 15.8

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) migration fails during phase 2 due to a time-out.

Cause

Longer running migrations can now timeout if the run_upgradeschema.sql takes longer than 20 minutes to complete.

Resolution

For some deployments, the database upgrade takes more than the 20 minute execution timeout during phase 2 of the migration to Symantec Data Loss Prevention 15.8. Symantec has provided a fix for the issue.

The fix is contained in the Preventing_DLP_15.8_migration_timeouts.zip file, which is available from the Product Downloads portal. See the readme file included with the download for steps to install the fix.

The MigrationUtility.log is located at C:\ProgramData\Symantec \DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\15.8.00000\logs\debug\.
