CA Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

We are upgrading CA Identity manager from 14.2 to 14.3.

The Identity manager installation wizard completed successfully but, when we start the Identity manager, it still shows CA Identity Manager 14.2 in SystemOut.logs

Inspecting caiamsuite.log, the following error is observed

     [exec] com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException
     [exec] com.ibm.websphere.management.exception.AdminException: ADMA0043E: C:\Users\adminuser\AppData\Local\Temp\app2827344615513556828.ear does not exist for installation.
     [exec] 

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)
Application Server: WebSphere 8.5.5.17

Cause

TEMP folder settings on the overall server can cause such errors

Resolution

Follow https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/unable-deploy-content-engine-ear-file-through-configuration-manager to set the TEMP (or tmp on Linux) folder and run the installer again.
