Unable to create CMDB rules due to either CMDB Solution is not installed or license is missed

Management Platform (Formerly known as Notification Server) CMDB Solution

Issue/Introduction

The customer is attempting to export data from the Symantec Management Console for reporting purposes however when he is trying to create a CMDB Rule, the CMDB solution is generating a notice saying:

CMDB Solution must be installed and licensed before CMDB Rules can be created or edited.

Environment

ITMS 8.1 RU7

Resolution

Make sure Altiris CMDB Solution is installed.

If it is not installed, go to "Install New Products" and select CMDB Solution 8.1 RU5 (that is the most recent one for 8.1)
