Issue/Introduction

Due to an ACF2 security issue the OPSOSF servers all failed and in OPSVIEW 4.3 the OPSPSF server showed as UNAVAILABLE

I had to cycle OPSMVS in order to get the OPSOSF servers started. Is there a command I could issue to get these to restart instead of cycling OPSMVS

Environment

Release : 13.0

Component : OPS/MVS

Resolution

First thing to check is that the PTFs below are applied to the corresponding OPS release:

Release   Apar #
13.0      SO08573
13.5      SO08572

If the above PTFs are applied then check the value of the parameter OSFALLOWRESTART.
It should be set to YES. This parameter can be changed dynamically at the OPSVIEW panel 4.1.1
