Support has asked me to delete or rename a file on a server, but I do not have root access to that server. Is there some way I can do it within the UIM product?
The "nexec" probe can be used for this purpose.
For example, support might ask you to rename the file robot.sds to robot.sds.old (a common request in certain support situations.)
You can set up a profile in nexec as follows:
Then, restart the probe and you will see this profile in the "Start" tab. Right click it and choose "Run..." and the command will be executed.
