TDM: Mainframe Patches being delivered Piece Meal versus complete load library with all files at same level

Issue/Introduction

When you deliver a patch for TDM Portal or FDM etc. you deliver the complete set of libraries for that version of the server. The person who is loading 6.0 on mainframe is complaining because the patches are incomplete loads with different modules at different levels. So a Patch should deliver a group of XMI files with all the libraries at the same level rather then loading one or two changed libraries.

Resolution

 

The process is simple and should be adhered to:

1) Always apply the GA release first then apply patches on top of the GA release

2) Patches are cumulative. It means that there is no need to apply patch1 before applying patch2. patch2 includes both fixes got patch1 and patch2.
