Issue/Introduction

Getting the following error messages for a digital certificate call:

 

IRRSDL00 GetData failed: SAF 8, RC 8, Reason 84 

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Cause

Top Secret keyring label name and the application keyring name do not match.   

Resolution

Per the IBM Security Server RACF Callable Services, 2.3:

IRRSDL00 is a R_datalib security call.
   
A SAF 8, RC 8, Reason 84 in the R_datalib security call means that the keyring is not found.

This means that the Top Secret keyring label name is not there or the Top Secret keyring label name does not match the keyring name supplied by the application.

The keyring name used in the application needs to match the keyring label name in Top Secret exactly since it is case sensitive.
